Miranda Kerr - Founder & CEO
Miranda was born and raised in the small country town of Gunnedah, NSW, Australia. Surrounded by family and farmland, her love of nature and organic living became an intrinsic part of her life from a young age.
Best known for her celebrated modelling career, her introduction into the world of fashion came unexpectedly in 1997, when at age 13 a friend entered her into a modeling competition. Miranda subsequently won, which sparked significant media attention and she soon became the most sought-after new face in Australia.
Through her strong work ethic, and genuine positive and grateful demeanor, Miranda soon established herself as one of the most in demand and influential faces in the world of fashion and beauty. As an authentic and influential voice, Miranda brings recognition, credibility and appeal to those she chooses to partner with.
An accomplished businesswoman, Miranda is also the Founder & CEO of the leading global certified organic skincare brand, KORA Organics.
Miranda lives in Los Angeles with her husband Evan Spiegel and her four sons, Flynn, Hart, Myles, and Pierre.
CAREER & STUDIES
After finishing high school and before modelling full-time, Miranda went on to study Nutrition and Health Psychology at the Academy of Natural Living in Australia. After her studies were complete, Miranda moved to New York, working consistently on fashion and beauty shoots, runway shows and renowned campaigns that paved the way to supermodel status.
In 2007, Victoria’s Secret signed Miranda as an Angel, making her the first and only Australian model ever to hold the coveted title. Miranda continued to work closely with fashion titans including Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, Christian Dior, Miu Miu, Givenchy, Loewe and Stella McCartney. During this time, Miranda expanded on her passion for holistic living, graduating from the New York School of Integrative Nutrition in 2010, becoming a Certified Health Coach.
With an appetite and eye for design, art and interiors, Miranda has pursued several successful creative collaborations. Most notably she has designed a collection for Royal Albert – Miranda Kerr for Royal Albert – that is sold globally. She also recently launched her first home furniture line – Miranda Kerr Home – with Universal Furniture. Miranda has also previously designed a capsule collection with Mother Denim and a best-selling jewelery line with Swarovski. In all her collaborations, Miranda strives to create and design products with positive intention and meaning.
KORA Organics
A pioneer and trailblazer for what is now widely known as the ‘clean beauty’ movement, Miranda founded and self-funded KORA Organics in her home country of Australia in 2009. Miranda’s vision of global expansion and making KORA Organics a household name came to fruition as the brand began to expand globally in 2017. The award-winning, certified organic skincare brand is now sold worldwide, across 30 countries/regions including; Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. As the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Miranda oversees the day-to-day operations, including innovation, product research and development, marketing and global expansion.
PUBLISHING
Miranda’s desire to empower women, led her to release her debut book in 2010 titled Treasure Yourself. Treasure Yourself hit the best sellers list in Australia and has since been translated into 12 different languages. In 2011, it was selected as one of the top 50 books in Australia under the Australian Governments “Get Reading Initiative”. Her second book, Empower Yourself was released in December 2013 and she is currently working on her third book.
PHILANTHROPY
Miranda is a dedicated supporter of numerous causes relating to women, children, health and the environment. She continues to use her voice and influence to make a positive difference in the world. Miranda believes every individual has a role to play in protecting the planet for future generations and adopts sustainability practices. She is an advocate for a natural, healthy and organic lifestyle.
Miranda and her husband have also donated on behalf of their family to various charities in Miranda’s home country of Australia to help with the rebuild and recovery of the 2020 wildfires, and more recently to charities helping those most vulnerable and in need given the impact of COVID-19.
