Australian Breast Cancer Research (ABCR) is a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, dedicated to supporting medical research focused on the prevention, detection, management and treatment of breast cancer.


Ultimately, we want to reduce the impact that breast cancer has on Australian families. For every $1 donated, we provided over $5 in grants to lifesaving breast cancer research.

National Breast Cancer Foundation

Since 1994, NBCF has awarded over $181 million to 556 breast cancer research projects across the country. The five-year survival rates for breast cancer has increased from 76% to 91%. We've seen remarkable results, but the job's not done.

More than ever, NBCF is focussing keenly on how we can do more with less in order to achieve great outcomes that will impact the longevity and quality of life for patients with breast cancer.

For us, this means identifying new and effective models of funding and ensuring that we don't stand alone but work collaboratively and creatively to achieve our mission of Zero Deaths by breast cancer by 2030.
