The tanners they used contained toxic ingredients that I knew I didn’t want on my skin or in my bloodstream. That’s why I wanted to develop a certified organic self-tanner, that also allowed you to build the colour gradually – from a subtle sun-kissed glow to a more intense, “I’ve just returned from a summer vacation in the Greek Islands” tan.
We use DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) that is naturally derived from sugar. The molecules in sugar turn brown in time, so it delivers a natural tanning effect and it is a safe and non-toxic ingredient for use on the skin.
Our Gradual Self-Tanning Lotion is not only free of any toxic and harmful chemicals – unlike many other ‘natural’ tanners it’s Certified Organic (link), suitable for the most sensitive skin, smells like you are walking through a lavender field in France, is super easy to blend and build, and is also super hydrating so won’t leave you with dry, dehydrated skin.
What’s not to love! For best results follow these tips…
Longer Lasting Glow
Exfoliate or dry body brush first, this will remove any dead skin cells for a smoother, even and longer lasting glow
Prevent Colour Grabbing
Shower then apply Noni Glow Body Balm or Enriched Body Lotion to the areas of the body more prone to thicker, drier skin such as elbows, knees, ankles, the palms of the hands and soles of the feet before applying the tanner. This will prevent the colour grabbing. Apply the tan all over then thoroughly wash your hands.
Add to Face Cream
Cheat sheet for a year-round low maintenance luminous glow, I add a little to my face cream twice a week and it leaves me with the right amount of coverage that I can go foundation free
